Paramore is one of the biggest bands of the last few years. Forming in 2004, the band has come quite far since their debut album, All We Know is Falling. They exploded onto the scene in 2007 with their hit “Misery Business” off of Riot!, and ended up being Alternative Press’s Band of The Year for 2007. In late 2008, they recorded the theme song for one of the biggest movies of the year, Twilight.

Featured Article: The Academy Is... Latest EP, Lost in Pacific Time

Written by Jessica Andrews

These days, there are very few bands that stay around long enough that they no longer need an introduction, The Academy is… should be one of those bands. Forming in 2003, they have played their fair share of Vans Warped Tours and have worked hard to get to the point where they are today. The band entered a down period after releasing three full-length CD’s and several successful singles. They did a few tours, but nothing really major, until now. All Time Low prodigies "The Friday Night Boys," (don’t even try to deny it) have made quite an easy way to fame.. After graduating high school, the pop-punk group recorded their first EP, titled the Sketch Process EP, which really made a name for this local Fairfax, Virginia band.  After gaining attention from MTV, the band really started to take off. Gaining the attention of All Time Low’s singer Alex Gaskarth, go figure, Gaskarth signed them to his record label "The Party Scene," which is in a partnership with Photo Finish Records and Fueled by Ramen.

Las Vegas natives, Escape The Fate haven't had the normal rise to fame as most bands with their talents would. Their first EP, "There's No Sympathy For The Dead" and their first full-length CD, "Dying is Your Latest Fashion," (Epitaph Records) made their lives as musicians easy and helped them gain hundreds of thousands of fans from all different parts of the country.

After "Dying is Your Latest Fashion," things got complicated. Lead rythm guitarist Omar Espinosa left the band, Lead singer at the time, Ronnie Radke was put in jail for several reasons and Craig Mabbitt came in and took over the band from where Radke left off, ultimatly saving the bands career.
