I am so disappointed with Hip Hop music right now. I listened to over twenty straight tracks and I found uninspired, mediocre and unoriginal songs that didn’t move me. I need to be moved by the music I use to love. The following tracks were the cream of the crop. Let me make it clear, I listened to over twenty straight tracks and almost all of them were garbage. The ones with tight beats fell off towards the end and became boring. Then there were some songs on the borderline of being decent. Borderline doesn’t cut it anymore. Can someone please make a hip hop track that’s amazing?
The-Dream kills it with one of the best XStream tracks this year. He’s not alone. A few other songs received an above average score. Sadly, Beyonce was not in this exclusive club. Rihanna and Ne-Yo also join the festivities. Finally, Slim from 112 swoops in to give us a new face in a revolving door of top R&B artists.
Why waste my time putting out tracks that are substandard. From now on, I’m going to take the American Idol approach. I’m just going to recommend tracks that are really good or really bad. So leave a comment and let me know what you think. Also, this week we have some interesting Hip-Hop tracks with two artists faking the funk. Listen and see if you can pick them out. Our XStream tracks include: Drake, Twista, Snoop Dogg, Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy and Mase.
This time we’re going in on Hip Hop and the West Coast is representing.Game and Snoop bring in the rear with Lupe Fiasco putting out a track that’s less than conventional. Finally we have the return of Ja Rule. It must suck for people to say you’re returning every time you put out a new song. I think he sees 50’s recent flop as a green light to enter the game again. Don’t get too comfortable Ja, he’s coming back harder later this year. As for our final entry, well, let’s just say OJ Da Juiceman is an acquired taste.
This batch of R&B tracks actually has some ripe fruit. It’s rare that I give out a four, but two of them in one sitting is just nuts. Our artists for this XStream include: Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige and Jazmine Sullivan.
Today’s XStream tracks feature the return of Mr. Crunk, Lil John, The Dream rapping, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and a little West Coast flavor from Ice Cube and The Game. With each passing song, I’m starting to gain a newfound appreciation for one of these artists. Can you guess who?
Today’s XStream tracks feature some of the giants of the R&B industry, as well as some names that have been absent for a while. Try to determine which of these tracks will make the radio. Artists include: Usher, T-Pain, Erykah Badu, Ruben Studdard and Alicia Keys.
We see the return of Shyne Poe. Bun B takes another stab at a solo venture after the death of UGK. Birdman attempts to do a song by himself. Ludacris destroys another track with a little help from Rick Ross and Twista. Finally, Chester French proves that just because you're white and Hip Hop embraces you, doesn't mean you have talent.
In this latest batch of Hip-Hop XTstreams, Rick Ross shows us why he's the boss, Wu-Tang Clan stages a lite comeback and T-Wayne does the unimaginable, you have to hear that track to see what I mean. Also, Nas proves why he's one of the most boring rappers of our generation. Kanye West pulls together some features that proves to me that even with all the controvesy, he is still one of the best in the game today.
This is a special diva's edition of XStream R&B. These are some of the newest tracks that might become the next overplayed songs on your local radio station. Make sure you check our site daily for these types of exclusives. Also let us know what you think about these songs. My taste may differ from yours and you might think a song deserves a higher score. This track listing features, Rihanna, Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige.
In the grand tradition of releasing the latest music tracks, we present XStream Hip Hop for January 18, 2010. There are not a lot of gold nuggets in this bunch and as a matter of fact, these were really the bottom of the barrel. I could be wrong and you might love one of these tracks. If that's a case, I would love to hear why.
